Oman's first and only public aquarium, inside Mall of Muscat, takes you on a voyage with a historic Omani mariner through 55+ exhibits and more than 30,000 aquatic animals.
Highlights for kids: the walk-through shark tunnel, rays gliding overhead, clownfish and seahorse tanks, and daily feeding sessions. Gold and Platinum tickets add animal encounters and behind-the-scenes tours, and the aquarium runs fun workshops like fish-feeding and turtle-rehabilitation days.
Because it's in the mall, it pairs perfectly with lunch, a film, or a play-area visit afterwards — an easy full morning or afternoon out of the heat.
🎒 Bring & wear
Nothing special — it's all indoors and air-conditioned. A light jumper for smaller kids helps; some halls are cool.
