What you'll do

Al Sawadi Stable runs guided horse rides directly on Al Sawadi Beach in Barka, about an hour from Muscat — the same stretch of sand as our Al Sawadi boat trips listing. Riders of all levels are taken through a safety briefing and a short practice on a parade ground before heading out along the open beach, with an instructor accompanying the group throughout.
Sunrise and sunset rides are the most popular, when the light and temperature are best, and the stable can arrange a shorter pony-style option for younger children. Helmets, riding shoes and water are provided as part of the price.
Book ahead by Instagram DM, WhatsApp or phone — this is a small, popular operation and the best time slots fill up quickly, especially at weekends.
