What you'll do
Marah Land is Oman's biggest outdoor amusement park, tucked inside Qurum Natural Park. Running since 2004, it has more than 28 rides from gentle carousels and mini-trains for little ones up to spinning thrill rides for teens, plus Oman's famous giant Ferris wheel with views over the park.
Entry is free — you buy a rechargeable card (200 baisa) and top it up, then tap for each ride. There's also a large indoor air-conditioned soft-play lounge for younger kids.
It comes alive in the evening when the heat drops: rides lit up, candy floss, and the whole of Qurum park to wander afterwards.
🎒 Bring & wear
Small cash for the ride card. Mosquito repellent in the cooler months near the lake.
💡 Family tips
- Go after 5pm — daytime heat makes the metal rides no fun
- Height rules apply on the bigger rides; the mini-train and carousel suit toddlers
- Combine with a picnic in Qurum Natural Park before the rides open
